Emirjeta Taipi, AIA, LEET AP BD+C

Emirjeta is a Senior Architect & Project Manager at Skidmore Owens and Merril. She is
known as a lateral thinker and well-rounded problem solver that brings meticulous designs to
life. Her ability to balance attention to detail with communicating a bigger picture have made
her a valuable resource to teammates as well as rising talents at SOM who’ve sought her
mentorship.

Over the past decade, Emirjeta has played crucial roles in the management and execution of
transportation, education, and large-scale commercial development projects both at home and
abroad. These range from lending her skills to the $1B Newark Airport Terminal 1
redevelopment to managing the construction of the One Flagler high-rise commercial tower
in West Palm Beach, FL, to her recent involvement in ambitious projects in the Middle East /
North Africa region.

Her journey as a globally minded leader and project manager stems from a rich academic and
multi-cultural background. Emirjeta graduated from the City College of New York’s Spitzer
School of Architecture where she is regularly invited as a guest critic. She is frequently
invited as a panelist and moderator at the New York Build Conference, and is a Women
Builders Council 2019 Next Generation Builder. She is fluent in Albanian, Spanish, and
Italian.
